The Bakken on Flickr

There is now a way to share pictures from The Bakken with everyone. I have recently created a group on Flickr called "At the Bakken Museum." Now if you are unfamiliar with Flickr I highly recommend you check it out. Flickr is a photo sharing community. People all over the world take pictures and upload them to this site. It is a great way to share picture with friends and family.

"At the Bakken Museum" is a group that I created where I hope people will share the pictures they have taken while visiting at the museum. I will be posting some of the pictures I take during class to the group's photo pool.

Here is a panoramic picture of the workshop I took and pieced together.

I look forward to seeing your Bakken pictures soon.

Simple Machines!

During the Spring session of the Earl Bakken Science Program, which starts on April 7th, we will be looking at simple machines and using them in our challenges.

There are six simple machines. How many can you name?

Welcome to The Workshop

With this blog I hope to create an online resource for friends of The Bakken Student Workshop. Here I will let you know what is going on in the workshop and around The Bakken. This will pertain primarily to the invention programs hosted in The Bakken's workshop. I hope that this can not only act to keep you informed about our happenings, but also to serve as a forum to discuss ideas, plans and the future programs and activities at The Bakken.

Expect to find…

  • Announcements
  • Surveys
  • Challenges and Activities
  • Profiles of instructors and mentors
  • Show casing of student projects
  • Links to cool stuff

…And much more.

Check back often and Enjoy!
